Synopsis

Anil Tokur's experimental video piece ‘Y-Scream’ Istiklal focuses on the changes of Republic of Turkey’s collective memory and most political street ‘Istiklal’ for the last decade through a Y-Generation director’s eyes and feelings. It opens new icons of modern Turkey to discussion by using experimental, musical, progressive, ethnic and symbolic forms of video art.
